This week the Chinese premier Wen Jiabao is visiting the UK. He and David Cameron are
talking about trade and much more. Both have announced that we need
to be working together more and that a strong relationships between
both countries will benefit not just China or the UK but also the
rest of the world.
We agree… 21 years ago Common Purpose ran its first courses in
Coventry and Newcastle. The goal was to bring people together from
the not-for-profit, public and private sectors to share
experiences. 21 years on and we are still working toward that goal.
Now we are expanding across many countries and trying to reach out
to more and more individuals.
The Chinese Premier's visit comes just after we ran our first
few Frontrunners for
students from China and the UK. It's exciting to be working on
a project that is bringing students from the two countries together
to better understand each other and gain the skills they will need
as we work together to tackle global challenges.
