We're not blogging a lot these days. We've been so busy and it
is easy to overlook a regular few words here. So here is a short
one for you.
Today a colleague sent me an article:
Students should see the world - or watch it sail past. It
highlights the need for international experience. Yet the more
students I speak to the more I am baffled. Too many students seem
to think that developing global competencies means they have to
travel to exotic places and speak foreign languages. However I am
confident that there are opportunities to develop these
competencies at every university in the UK while living in
university accommodation. Despite my confidence I am left
asking:
How can we help students make the most of the international
experiences they have every day?
Frontrunners out there, I would like to know how you have and are
developing global competencies.
