GSK Science and Engineering Award

Common Purpose and GSK recognise the importance of science and engineering as a medium of innovative collaboration between the East and West, therefore we want to encourage students from China and the UK to learn from each other, collaborate, and think differently.
What are we looking for?
We would like to know about an innovative and collaborative science or engineering based project that you have already started, that can or could help others. However, if you have any great ideas for a future project, we'd like to hear from you too.
What - Tell us about your project in detail. What did it aim to achieve and how did you achieve it? You are welcome to include pictures and graphics of your prototypes or design to help us understand your project.
Why - What motivated you to initiate or get involved in this innovative project?
Who - Who organised the project? Did it involve both Chinese and UK students? If so, how many?
When - When did the project take place? Was it a fixed-term or ongoing project?
Where - Where in the UK did the project take place?
How - Has your project managed to help people with their everyday lives? Please include concrete examples to demonstrate the benefits, or how to measure them in the future.

You can nominate your own project, or those started by other
students that you feel should be recognised.
Send us the project plan or proposal of no more than 1,000 words. You are welcome to submit pictures and graphics that will support the nomination.

We accept nomination of any current student at our partner
universities and organisations. You don't have to be a graduate of
our courses to qualify for these awards.
Send Frontrunner an
email to find out if your university/organisation is eligible.
All nominees will be invited to our Frontrunner Awards Workshop in
London in July 2012, where we will recognise the outstanding
nominations of each award. You can meet our judges, sponsors,
keynote speakers as well as fellow students from across the
country.

You may have the chance to undertake work experience with GSK if your project is recognised. All shortlisted nominees will be contacted with further detail.
